St Luke's Church, Eccleshill, Bradford, UK
Bringing the good news of Jesus to the people of Eccleshill.
How to find us
Brief description of where we are
The church does not have a postcode - because there isn't a letter box and the Post Office doesn't deliver to it. Instead, please use the Vicarage's post code: put "BD2 3NS" in your SatNav etc.
You will see small maps on three scales below, with the arrows pointing to the location of our church.
On sheet 104, "Leeds and Bradford" of the Ordnance Survey's "Landranger" series of 1:50,000 maps covering England, Scotland and Wales, the six-figure grid reference is SE 185 355.
You will find travel directions by scrolling down this page.

Travel directions our church building
From the M62 (M606)
The M606 into Bradford ends at a roundabout: turn onto the ring road (A6177) following signs towards Harrogate. Continue straight on across two roundabouts and three traffic-light junctions. At the fourth traffic-light junction turn right from Killinghall Road onto Harrogate Road (A658), and the church is on the right-hand side in about half a mile at the next roundabout.
From Skipton or Keighley
Follow the A650 into Bradford through Bingley and into Saltaire. Pass Nab Wood Crematorium on the left, and at the next roundabout bear left onto Saltaire Road (A657) towards Leeds. Go straight on through three traffic-light junctions, and turn right at the fourth up Carr Lane which ascends steeply. At the top of the hill follow the road sharp left and then along to "Five Lane Ends" (a six-junction roundabout!) Take the fourth exit onto Idle Road, and turn left onto Pullan Avenue (A6176) at the next traffic lights. Follow Pullan Avenue over the hill and bear right, and the church faces you across the next roundabout.
From Leeds/Bradford Airport
From the airport complex turn left onto the A658 and go under the main runway. Follow signs for Bradford A658 and you will dip down into the valley of the river Aire. Up the other side continue straight ahead at two traffic-light junctions, and ascend Harrogate Road. The church building is on the left at the first roundabout.
From Leeds (Armley)
Coming out of Leeds along the A647 Stanningley Bypass, turn left at Bradford Road (A647). You will encounter a large triangular one-way system at Thornbury: stay in the middle lane so as to turn right at the first corner, and go straight ahead (Bradford B6381 - NOT A647) at the second corner. Immediately turn right across the oncoming traffic onto Woodhall Avenue, across several speed-bumps, and turn left at the end into Gain Lane. Go straight ahead at the next traffic lights onto another Leeds Road, and at the major junction ahead turn right onto Harrogate Road. The church building is about 1/4 mile ahead on the right, at the next roundabout.
From Leeds (Headingley)
Coming anticlockwise around the Leeds Ring Road (A6120) the road crosses the River Aire and Leeds & Liverpool Canal: at the next roundabout turn right onto Rodley Lane (A657) and go through Calverley. Continue to the first traffic-light junction and turn left onto Harrogate Road (A658). Ascend the hill, and the church building is on the left at the first roundabout.
